I don't know how much you are all out and about but we are still very much at home, staying away from crowds which isn't easy in a place as densely populated as India. That is why my latest photos instead of the usual travel ones, have been set in the garden. Do check them out. Gardening has become more of a pastime and photographing all that I love has become more of a passion.
Stay safe y'all!

It was only a couple of months ago that, in my last blog, I was saying I don't know why I wait till I travel before taking photos, because I have a lovely garden that I could surely take photos of. And what do you know...after being in the house for 45 days...but who's counting, that is just what has happened. I have taken some photos of the tropical flowers in my garden and also some abstract shots within my house. You can find them in both the galleries titled Flowers and Abstract. Do you know the Sanskrit saying. "It is far yet it is within". I feel like that just now.
Stay safe and God bless.

I was at the Jaipur Literature Festival in Rajasthan, and for one day I had the time to roam and take as many photos as I could of the old city...named the pink city for its pinkish sandstone buildings. It was a pleasure to do this and I hope to get back there for more.
I have a few photos in the album Places Around the World. Do take a look. I particularly like the one of Hawa Mahal. I was pleased with the shot.
I don't know why it happens to be mainly when I travel that I get out my camera. It's not as if there are not places around my home I could take photos of - case in point - my garden. Well that has just given me an idea. There are some lovely flowers right now. My next project... See ya!

Last month I was lucky enough to travel to Bali in Indonesia. I am ready to add a few photos of what I saw there. It is a beautiful place and I am not joking - I was keen on going back as soon as I arrived home! Stay tuned as it takes me a few days.
And if you follow my blogs..in August I had asked for votes so I could get some of my textile works in the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. Well I got them in! Thank you all who voted for them!!

Hello again,
I am finding that social media is something that affects us all. We cannot possibly stay away from it. I have just entered a contest (where if I win I will get a chance to display in San Jose) and we are asked to get onto social media and acquire votes. Needless to say, the more votes you get the better the chances...so I am blogging here to request votes.
Please look go to the link, look out for my 3 works, in alphabetical order and click on them plus the submit button on the end. They are Kiratpur, Mudra and Turquoise Ocean.
Maybe I will turn these into prints later on, but for now, thank you!!

I am back in Bangalore waiting for the monsoon to arrive. I can honestly say that my trip to Scotland was a blast. I am keen on sharing my newest photos with you.
This was my third visit to Scotland and every time I go I think it is the best. This time we travelled from Edinburgh to the Highlands for whisky tasting and then back down through Glasgow to reenter England at Carlisle. It was well worth the visit to see Hadrian's Wall... something I had read about in History in school. Anyway as this is not a blog on how my holiday went, I just want to invite you to see some of the photos from the trip that I think are worth sharing.

Places around the World is the name I have given to the album for all those photos that I take when I travel.
There is something so satisfying about taking a photo that appeals to me personally. I don't think of it in terms of an iconic place or a tourist hot spot, just some place that I experienced and wanted to capture to take home.
I hope you find the same sense of awe when you view those photos.

New camera means new photos!! I have been busy getting to use my new camera a Fuji... and I have been taking photos of my paintings all over again so that I get bigger better resolution which in turn means higher print quality.
So excited that I can redo so many of the old images so that collectors can now purchase bigger and sharper images. Who said tools don't matter? They sure do!

I have spent a good few weeks in England visiting family and also made a side trip to Ireland for the first time ever. The weather was perfect and needless to say I took a few wonderful photos of Ireland and London. Please do check them out on my page. I only ever put up the best and I really can say that I love my photos of Dingle (small town in Ireland) and those of the Shard in London.

Fineartamerica has done it again...I am so pleased with their new addition of tote bags. I have always wanted to see my artwork off the walls and on accessories so this is so welcome...not to mention the previous mobile covers and throw pillows that they came out with. I know I will be buying some for myself!

Ever since I saw the amazing photos of Ansel Adams and more recently Carlton Watkins I was determined to make my own collection of Yosemite National Park and this summer I was finally able to take some shots.
I am pleased with the results considering the short time that I spent there and am very keen on going again on my next visit to California. For now, there a few images in colour, black and white and sepia for you to chose from.
Happy browsing and if you have any questions please write to me.

Back to Bangalore. Enjoyed seeing all the art museums that I could fit in my last visit to California. Plus was happy to study some art history in Stanford University. Now working on some calligraphic pieces inspired by Mark Tobey. Let's see where this leads me...

This work is named Spring Rites, a mixed media collage on paper. It is built around the theme of spring in India. When the festival of Holi is celebrated people go out on the streets and throw bright coloured powders on each other, wishing them Happy Holi. It is a joyous time, whenbarriers are let down and strangers interact with each other,.
